October Extravaganza

19th October was International Repair Day, which coincided with our Repair Café and inaugural Extravaganza.

The event took place in Harting Community Hall where the Repair Café ran as normal, but in addition there were a variety of village community groups selling preloved and nearly new items.

There was a great buzz in the room and preloved toys found new homes, gardeners discovered second hand tools, preloved coats and uniforms found new homes, and MacMillan Palliative Care sold out of preloved cashmere within minutes.

We lost count of the number of teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits we handed out.

It was a great day and show’s what fun sharing, mending and reusing can be!
