People’s Emergency Briefing & Response
We are very excited to announce that following the screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing film, the ex-BBC science and environmental correspondent David Shukman will be giving his response.
The event is taking place on 22nd October in Harting Community Hall, with doors opening at 7.00pm.
David will be interviewed by Tim O’Kelly and will give his response to the film and also talk about how we, as a community, can come together to become more resilient in the face of the changes to the climate. David has just bought out a new book “The Response” and there will be a chance to talk to him and buy his book at the end of the evening.
The event is ticketed – please book your free tickets here
The film is only 50 minutes long and brings together 9 leading scientist and experts with the latest evidence on and why it matters for things like extreme weather and water, food security, health and the cost of living. The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing event that was held in Westminster last November and has appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK. It’s about truly knowing the state we are in and what we can all do to be prepared to meet these challenges.
